2026 Summer Horse Day Camps
River Ranch, home of Brawley Farms North, offers summer equestrian day camps for young horse lovers ages 5–14. These camps are designed to give children a fun, hands-on introduction to horses in a safe, supportive, and educational environment.
The 2026 season marks the 35th anniversary of River Ranch day camps. Campers will have the opportunity to learn what it means to care for and connect with a horse or pony throughout the week. With small groups of only 7–8 children per session, each camper receives individual attention while building confidence, responsibility, and a love for horses.
Camp curriculum includes learning how to care for, lead, groom, and tack up a horse or pony, along with riding instruction in flatwork and equitation. Campers will also learn about horse care, riding theory, safety techniques, and enjoy riding demonstrations throughout the week. Horses, ponies, and equipment are provided by River Ranch.

Half-Day Pony Camps
Ages: 5–7
Time: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Fee: $220 per week

A $100 non-refundable deposit reserves a space in camp. The remaining balance is due on the first day of camp. Enrollment is limited, and families are encouraged to register early to reserve their preferred dates.
What to Bring
Campers should wear long pants and old boots or shoes with a low heel so their foot does not slip through the stirrup. River Ranch has riding helmets available, or campers may bring their own riding helmet.
Day horse campers should bring a bag lunch each day. All campers should bring snacks for morning breaks.
Most importantly, campers should bring a love of horses, a positive attitude, and a willingness to make new friends and learn something new.
